CTV News reported that Canadian loyalty program More Rewards suffered a cybersecurity breach that exposed customer personal information. The company discovered unusual activity on one of its servers on Tuesday and immediately shut the system down to begin an investigation. [1]

More Rewards confirmed on Friday that an unauthorized party accessed personal information stored on its database, according to CTV News. The compromised data includes customer names, as well as physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and dates of birth if customers had provided them. [1]

More Rewards is the rewards program for Save-On-Foods and other grocery stores owned by the Jim Pattison Group. The Pattison Food Group operates supermarket banners from its headquarters in Langley, British Columbia. [1][2]

The incident follows recent cybersecurity breaches at other major consumer companies. As FTMQ Security reported earlier, online fashion retailer ASOS and mobile provider Trump Mobile both disclosed customer data leaks earlier this month. [3][4]
