CyberSecurityNews, the Financial Times, and Bloomberg reported that a data breach at accounting firm EY exposed client data belonging to Goldman Sachs and Man Group. According to Rescana, the incident involved the compromise of a third-party IT support platform, which allowed unauthorized access to sensitive client information. [1][8][9][10]

Tech-insider.org reported that six different types of data were exposed in the EY breach. Quartz and Bloomberg both reported that the intrusion impacting Goldman Sachs occurred earlier in the year. [9][11][12]

The compromised firm EY provides professional services to global clients, while Goldman Sachs is an American multinational investment bank based in New York City. [1][15]
