Passkey authentications among Dashlane users have nearly doubled year on year, reaching 2.5 million per month in 2026, InfoSecurity Magazine reported. Data from the credential security firm shows that 57 percent of its users now store at least one passkey, up from 40 percent in the previous year. [1]

Dashlane analyzed millions of anonymized passkey authentications managed between July 2025 and June 2026 to create its Passkey Power 20 report. Despite the growth in adoption, InfoSecurity Magazine noted that the phishing-resistant technology still accounts for a minority of overall logins on major websites. [1]

Phishing is a social engineering technique where attackers trick individuals into sharing sensitive details or installing malicious software. Attacks can steal credentials, hijack sessions, or relay authentication to legitimate sites to capture user sessions. [2]
